The Face Behind TMCELITE - Tom McNamee

I started TMCELITE five years ago, after six years playing professional football. At the top end of my playing career I represented Sunderland AFC, captaining the u18 youth team to a league title in the 2012-2013 season. As well as captaining the u21s reserve squad. I eventually received three first team caps in exhibition matches under manager Gus Poyet.

As the nature of football is a tough business, unfortunately a long-term career at the top level wasn't on the cards for me. After losing my contract at Sunderland AFC, I continued to pursue my professional career for another 12 months, moving through a number of clubs, but ultimately, I was losing my love for the game. In 2016 I made the decision to completely move into semi-professional football and start my new career path of coaching. This is where TMCELITE was born and the new journey began

Since 2016 I have coached in North-East England, New York- USA, Toronto-Canada and I have now landed in London-England. These experiences have shaped who I am today. Alongside achieving an Upper Second-Class Honours in Strength & Conditioning and my Level 3 UEFA B. The two top feathers in my cap.  For me, coaching is an art. It's learnt, developed and never stops evolving. It also goes far beyond crossing the white line on a Saturday. With TMCELITE, I am ultimately striving to coach and enhance the performance of players on and off the field every day.
